No More Rose?
Claims are that Rose's character is "too needy" and new head writer Steven Moffat said, "You have to hand it to the Doctor for dumping a slightly needy girlfriend by palming her off on a copy of himself. He tried leaving her in a parallel universe and that didn’t work!”
This statement is bound to cause controversy... many fans were introduced to Doctor Who with Rose as the companion, they might not be impressed with what he's saying about her, let alone him axing her.
What do you think about all this?

Hybrid Cyberman?
Called Cybershade, the armoured cyborg will be even nastier than the rest of the species.
"Like we did with the Daleks, we've taken the original robot and made it a bit more sinister," an insider told The Sun, "The Cybershade is a mutant with some of the looks of the Cybermen - but is a much darker creation."
What do you think? Could this be true?

Annual News
The annual, due out on August 7th, contains 96 pages and will cost roughly about £6.99. Penguin, the publishers, said:
Sonic screwdrivers at the ready! This year’s official annual is a stellar 96 pages, packed with comic strips, stories, activities, fun features, posters and even a section on The Sarah Jane Adventures. Filled with monsters and adventures from the series, this will keep any budding Doctor busy!
It does sound a bit cheesy but still, here is the cover:
What do you think? Is it worth buying after previous annuals have been a bit of a let-down?

New Books
Information about three new novels set to be released on April 16th, 2009, has been released. The books, which all include returning monsters and the Doctor travelling on his own, are expected to be roughly 256 pages long and here are the synopsises:
Judgement of the Judoon by Colin Brake
Elvis the King Spaceport has grown into the sprawling city-state of New Memphis - an urban jungle, where organized crime is rife. But the launch of the new Terminal 13 hasn't been as smooth as expected. And things are about to get worse... When the Doctor arrives, he finds the whole terminal locked down. The notorious Invisible Assassin is at work again, and the Judoon troopers sent to catch him will stop at nothing to complete their mission. With the assassin loose on the mean streets of New Memphis, the Doctor is forced into a strange alliance. Together with teenage private eye Nikki and a ruthless Judoon Commander, the Doctor soon discovers that things are even more complicated - and dangerous - than he first thought...
Prisoner of the Daleks by Trevor Baxendale
The Daleks are advancing, their empire constantly expanding in to Earth's space. The Earth forces are resisting the Daleks in every way they can. But the battles rage on across countless solar systems. And now the future of our galaxy hangs in the balance... The Doctor finds himself stranded on board a starship near the frontline with a group of ruthless bounty hunters. Earth Command will pay them for every Dalek they kill, every eye stalk they bring back as proof. With the Doctor's help, the bounty hunters achieve the ultimate prize: a Dalek prisoner - intact, powerless, and ready for interrogation. But where the Daleks are involved, nothing is what it seems, and no one is safe. Before long the tables will be turned, and how will the Doctor survive when he becomes a prisoner of the Daleks?
The Slitheen Excursion by Simon Guerrier
1500BC - King Actaeus and his subjects live in mortal fear of the awesome gods who have come to visit their kingdom in ancient Greece. Except the Doctor, visiting with university student June, knows they're not gods at all. They're aliens. For the aliens, it's the perfect holiday - they get to tour the sights of a primitive planet and even take part in local customs. Like gladiatorial games, or hunting down and killing humans who won't be missed. With June's enthusiastic help, the Doctor soon meets the travel agents behind this deadly package holiday company - his old enemies the Slitheen. But can he bring the Slitheen excursion to an end without endangering more lives? And how are events in ancient Greece linked to a modern-day alien plot to destroy what's left of the Parthenon?
What do you think? Which book sounds interesting?

Final DWM Cover
The final cover out of the special 4 being released has been revealed. It features Donna, the Doctor and her family. Now we're just left with one big, stinking problem: which one to buy? Would it be insane to buy all 4...?
Plus, I've just realised all the covers make one big picture if you put them together.

News Catch Up
Blimey, it's amazing how much news you can miss during a daytrip to London... Anyway, here's a news catch up and also, thanks to Electric-Policebox for the amazing banner up there!
This is the DVD for the final episode of Doctor Who series 4.
Also, there is speculation that Jenny, the Doctor's Daughter, may return in one of the 2009 specials. Wouldn't that be interesting?!

Series 4 Thoughts
The series has caused some controversy between fans; some loved it, and some hated it. But what about you? What was your favourite/least favourite episode and why? Tell everyone here!
My favourite episode was by far The Stolen Earth; it just had so much action and the 45 minutes flew by, I loved every second of it. What about you?

Loose Ends
DoctorDonna
The whole DoctorDonna thing started back in Planet of the Ood, where the Ood called the Doctor and Donna DoctorDonna. Blimey, that's a mouthful...
The Heartbeat
Donna heard heartbeat noises during the finale, but this was all to do with the DoctorDonna thing.
Your Loss
During The Stolen Earth, a woman from the Shadow Proclomation said, "I'm sorry for your loss," to Donna. We now know that this meant Donna's memory loss.
Bees Disappearing
It turns out the bees were following a signal (can't remember it's name and don't have a clue how to spell it)
Donna's Back
The thing on Donna's back was a Time Beetle, aiming to change time.
The Prophecy
Dalek Caan stated that the Prophecy said that someone will die, or everlasting death for the most faithful companion. This, sort of, turned out to be Donna, or her old self, as the Doctor said that version of Donna was dead.
Parallel Worlds
Rose was able to travel between parallel worlds because they developed technology which allowed them to do so.
Jackie's Baby
At the end of Doomsday, Rose told the Doctor she was pregnant. During Journey's End Jackie told the Doctor her baby was called Tony. She jokingly said it was called Doctor first.
The Osterhagen Key
This key turned out to be something which would detonate a pile of nuclear bombs which would destory the Earth when the suffering of the human race became so great that it couldn't go on anymore.
The Lost Planets
During the series, plenty of planets were going missing. We now know that is was Davros and the Daleks who had taken them.
I think that's everything. However, here are some other points:
- Why did the Ood say to the Doctor, "One day your song will end."
- Captain Jack seemed like he was asking Martha to join Torchwood at the end of the episode Journey's End. Mickey then joined the two, also sparking rumours he'll be joining Torchwood.
- Who is River Song?
- Could Rose and her Doctor possibly have a spin off series? It could always be possible!
- Did Davros and Caan really die, or did they escape with an emergency temporal shift?
- Donna's ring seemed to be shining at one point in the episode Journey's End, was it light or the Master's ring?
What do you think? Feel free to leave us some comments.

Doctor Who Screening
The episode Journey's End is going to be shown in Trafalgar Square this Saturday as part of the Pride London 08 celebrations.
How amazing would it be to see Doctor Who on the big screen surrounded by hundreds of Whovians? The screening is said to take place at 7pm - the only downside being you'd have to wait 20 minutes later than usual to watch the episode. I'm staying at home personally, but if you want to go, the episode is being introduced by Freema Agyeman so perhaps you want to start making plans...?

BBC Update
The BBC have updated their Doctor Who website ready for Journey's End, but sadly, they haven't given that much away. Although, maybe it's a good thing; the finale will then be full of surprises! The pictures above have been added as wallpapers, and there is a very short preview clip, previously shown on Blue Peter.
