After appearing on BBC Breakfast this morning, rumours have sparked that David Tennant believes Billie Piper could be the Next Doctor, or infact that anyone could take his place.When asked if Billie Piper, who played a former companion Rose Tyler, could succeed him, Tennant said, "Why not? It’s one of those parts that any actor could bring something valid to.”
“It can be anything and it’s a sort of blank canvas every time. The fact is that the difference is a virtue with each Doctor, it’s not like you’re casting Tarzan where you’ve got to have somebody who looks good in a loin cloth, it can be anything.”
Actor Tom Ellis has also been linked to the role. What do you think about this?
