The Picture That Made Me Very Sad!

Perhaps I'm over-reacting a little about this, but I'm very opinionated when it comes to David Tennant leaving... I saw these pictures of Matt Smith wearing the 10th Doctor's brown pinstriped suit and felt incredibly annoyed and sad at the same time.

I know it's inevitable that the 10th Doctor is going to regenerate and that the 11th Doctor will initially be wearing his costume, but it just feels so wrong for me. It didn't bother me so much with the 9th Doctor, but now I just felt a wave of sadness.

If a picture makes me upset, what am I going to be like watching the actual regeneration? I dread to think...

Looks Who's with Sarah Jane...

As well all know, the Doctor will star in the Sarah Jane two-parter 'The Wedding of Sarah Jane Smith' next month, and here's the first look at him in action!

These episodes will be shown on October 29th and 30th and I will definitely be watching. Thanks to Digital Spy for these pictures!

New Chat Box

As you may have noticed in the sidebar there is a brand new Live Chat Box. I added it as an experiment and want to see how it goes. I am aware that it overlaps a little (can anyone help with that?!) but if you want to join in with some Doctor Who chat, feel free!

It will be deleted if there is constant spam, arguing, swearing etc. I realise it's highly likely so it probably won't be around for too long, but never mind. Enjoy while you can!

Discussion: Tenth Doctor

Wow, I really am on a roll today with all these posts. Anyway, I was randomly thinking of all the things that should/must happen before the 10th Doctor's regeneration, and here's the list I came up with:

- He must meet Queen Elizabeth. Remember in The Shakespeare Code when she made an entrance at the end of the episode and started shooting arrows at him? This implies she must have met him before in that incarnation and that he must have done something to aggravate her.

- He should really meet up with Jenny once more (although this could really happen with Matt Smith's Doctor, but it would be better with David Tennant's)

Well it's a brief list, but I'm sure you could help by please adding some more!

David Tennant : Your Headteacher?

I forgot to post about this a while ago but randomly remembered today! It's official - David Tennant has been voted as the celebrity most wanted as a headteacher! Apparently a bunch of children said he would be "fun" and I would have to agree with them.

Other celebrities nominated include Cheryl Cole, Barack Obama and JK Rowling.

Happy Birthday Billie Piper!

Today is Billie Piper's 27th birthday! I'd like to wish her a great day because she's been fantastic as Rose Tyler during the revamped series, and she certainly deserves it! Not forgetting that she will also be back during David Tennant's last episodes this Christmas. Love her or hate her, she's definitely done well for herself.

Complete Series 1-4 Boxset

It has been confirmed by 2entertain that a boxset, containing Series 1-4, will be released on October 26th this year with a price of £89.99. It is not known whether it will feature any of the 2009 specials, but it seems unlikely.

Special thanks to Ultimate Doctor Who for this!

News Reporter Needed!

As you've probably realised, I'm finding it difficult to update the website at the moment... whenever I want to update there's nothing worth posting, and then there's other times when I just can't get online. So, I was wondering if there's anyone willing to be a news reporter for me? If you're interested, read on!

I basically need someone who can scour the internet for news which is worth reporting, or funny videos, images etc. In other words, interesting stuff. You'd need to be able to send this to me in an email fairly regularly - almost everyday. If you think you can, please tell me why in a comment below, along with some way I can contact you (preferably email.) I'm very much in need of this help, so it would be extremely appreciated!

Sarah Jane Episodes

Despite my dislike *ahem* for Sarah Jane Adventures, I realised it would only be fair to post the confirmed episode titles and dates...

'Prisoner of the Judoon' Part 1 - October 15th
'Prisoner of the Judoon' Part 2 - October 16th

'The Mad Woman in the Attic' Part 1 - October 22nd
'The Mad Woman in the Attic' Part 2 - October 23rd

'The Wedding of Sarah Jane Smith' Part 1 - October 29th
'The Wedding of Sarah Jane Smith' Part 2 - October 30th

'The Eternity Trap' Part 1 - November 5th
'The Eternity Trap' Part 2 - November 6th

'Mona Lisa's Revenge' Part 1 - November 12th
'Mona Lisa's Revenge' Part 2 - November 13th

'The Gift' Part 1 - November 19th
'The Gift' Part 2 - November 20th

Could 'The Mad Woman in the Attic' possibly be Sarah Jane herself? Jokes, jokes... But the episode with the Doctor will be fantastic, I am sure.

The fourth and final DWM cover has been released and can be seen below. It features the 10th Doctor and the episode 'Human Nature,' which I will admit was a great episode. Issue 413 is available from Thursday and you can choose from the four covers.

Third DWM Cover

The third cover for the special DWM issues has been revealed and can be seen below. It features the 9th Doctor and is promoting the episode 'The Empty Child.' I'm guessing the fourth cover has David Tennant on it and may include 'Journey's End.' We shall see tomorrow...

Fairly Random Thing (RIP Fairly Funny Thing)

Yeah... there's not much to post about. Also, Fairly Funny thing is no more, it is Fairly Random Thing from now on - gives me a wider variety to post about.

I will try to post more things when I can... especially tomorrow - I've decided to change a few things around once and for all. So please keep coming back. I'm sure there will be some decent news soon!

David Tennant in 'Of Mice and Men'

It has been confirmed that David Tennant will star in a forthcoming radio adaptation of the classic novel 'Of Mice and Men' by John Steinbeck. He will play the part of George Milton, alongside Liam Brennan who will voice Lennie Small. He is expected to start recording soon and the show will be broadcasted in early 2010 as part of Radio 4's Classic Serial slot.

This is good news for all G.C.S.E students, because this novel is usually studied for English Literature, and we'll actually be able to listen to him and understand what's going on!

Thanks to WhovianNet.co.uk for the news!

NTA Nominations

Being the fantastic show that it is, Doctor Who was bound to get some nominations at this year's National Television Awards. Speaking of which, it was nearly a year ago that David Tennant announced his departure while accepting his award... *sob*

Anyway, back to the present, Doctor Who and Torchwood have both been nominated for 'Best Drama' and will have to compete against the likes of Heroes, Little Dorrit, Primeval and Holby City.

Also, David Tennant, John Barrowman and Eve Myles are in the 'Drama Performance' category for their roles as our favourite characters the Doctor, Jack and Gwen.

You can vote here for free. Go on, they deserve it!

Fan Fiction Preview

There really isn't a great deal to post about lately, and I'd rather post about something than nothing, so in preparation for my new Fan Fiction Series, here's a preview from the first episode!

The Doctor was just setting some controls inside the TARDIS, when the silver mobile resting on top of the console began ringing. He looked up at it in alarm and recognised the number. “Martha…” he whispered.

He quickly grabbed the phone and, after taking a deep breath, held it to his ear.

“Miss Jones,” he said, grinning a little. “How nice to hear from you.”

There was a short laugh down the line, “Perhaps it isn’t so nice really, considering there’s an emergency.”

The Doctor sighed, “I know. I’ve detected some strange waves coming from the Earth. Then again, that’s nothing new. I tell you, the amount of stuff which comes from that planet, it’s so noisy! It’s like…”

“Doctor,” Martha interrupted. “You’re rambling again.”

He blinked, “Sorry.”

“Anyway, everyone’s been acting strangely. Like… speaking what’s on their mind. It’s a little inconvenient, being on my wedding day.”

The Doctor sucked in some air, “Wedding day?”

“Yes, Doctor, I’m getting married today. Remember the ring?”

The Doctor nodded slowly to himself, “Yes… I… well, I didn’t expect it so soon.” He paused, “Where’s my invite?”

“Sorry, it must have got lost in the Vortex.” She hesitated, “I didn’t think you’d be able to come. Y’know, being busy saving planets and all.”

“Yeah…” the Doctor sighed, staring into space. “Anyway, about all this… I’ve detected where the wave is coming from…”

“What are you gonna do?”

“Well, I was going to order whatever species is doing this to stop.”

Martha laughed, “Sounds simple.”

“Meh,” the Doctor shrugged. “This is a quiet day for me really.”

“Well would you mind hurrying? The wedding’s in an hour and the in-laws are becoming irritable,” she paused. “You can come, if you like.”

The Doctor hesitated, “I’ll see. I might speak to you later.”

And with that, he was gone. He stared ahead for a moment, before setting the controls once more.

The series will begin later this month.

The answer is scary - the Krillitanes are back on Earth, and everyone's at risk! Last time they took over a school. This time they've hijacked the Internet. Fan Fiction Series Preview...

The Oncoming Storm Series is beginning soon, and I've decided to do a sneak-peak post, revealing a few episode titles and the promo pic above. From left to right there's Liam (Jesse Spencer), the Doctor (David Tennant) and Kathy (Katie Holmes) Huge thanks to Liam (not that Liam, Liam from The Chameleon Cascade. How confusing) for making it - it truly is amazing!

And now to the episode titles...

Episode One - Wedding Hell

Ever wondered what happened during Martha Jones' wedding to Tom Milligan? You can find out now as Kathy and Liam go as guests, but end up having to save everyone from a strange phenemonon which is sweeping the Earth.

Episode Seven - The Other Doctor

After arriving on the planet Mango, Kathy finds herself tempted by an opportunity to star in one of her favourite books - but will she do it?

Episode Eight - 54

No, this doesn't involve a spaceship which is hurtling towards the Sun with only 54 minutes to go. Kathy and Liam find themselves on a dodgy Space Tour Bus, with a tour guide who isn't too friendly.

Hope you liked the sound of that. The first episode will be out towards the end of the month. Please remember though, it's all fictional.

Fairly Funny Thing No 2

How to Create a Blathereen

It's perfectly simple really, and there are various methods which you can try. First, get yourself a normal Slitheen (it may take some persuasion) and after that, forcefully push it into a large bowl of baked beans to achieve the desired orange-glow. Another option is to cover the Slitheen in oil and let them sunbathe for a few hours, and they'll be crispy orange in no time. Ta da, you now have a Blathereen.

It seems the SJA crew have once again run out of ideas and created this alien. I'm going to be psychic, and predict that the following series will somehow involve the Trickster, or maybe a Graske, or another returning alien which has been done to death on the show.

Yes, how did you guess that I despise SJA? And yes, this is going to be used in the upcoming Series.
