Karen Gillan has recently been interviewed about Series Five and her upcoming role as Amy Pond, the Doctor's brand new assistant. In the past, it's clear to say that the relationship between the Doctor and his companion has always been interesting and she spoke a little about this:"It’s fair to say she’s attracted to the Doctor, but I don’t think she’s in love with him. She’s not this love sick puppy following him around."
Despite this, in a recent trailer, the Doctor and Amy were seen to be kissing for a brief moment and she says, in response, "There is kissing, yes, but that will pan out as you watch the series."
