It has been confirmed that Doctor Who will return in 2011 for its sixth series, featuring Matt Smith who will be playing the Doctor for at least two years. The show's Executive Producer, Piers Wenger, also announced that there will be a Christmas Special this year, written by Steven Moffat. There has been no word about Karen Gillan though...Filming finishes this Saturday for Series Five and shooting for the next series and the Christmas Special begins in July.
